The Band Camino played the last show of a long tour in Pittsburgh at StageAE last night. You’d never know it was the end of such a long run (they kicked of back in April!) the band were still on it!
The show started with two great openers. First up was Game We Play out of Nashville and clearly enjoying what singer Emmyn Calleiro pointed out was their first tour … EVER! Well they did it right and were a great start to the night. Authentic and unpretentious, they were there to play great songs and have an amazing time–mission accomplished!

Next up, Renforshort took the stage. Lauren Isenberg’s style of soft pop lyrics and crunchy guitar is unique and infectious. Fantastic!

After two great openers finally The Band Camino. First thing to note is that guitarist Spencer Stewart sure knew where he was!

Despite random technical glitches, they sounded amazing. The set started with Know it All and Roses and went out strong with (predictably, but who cares?) 1 Last Cigarette and Daphne Blue. At one point a spirited game of flip-cup broke out with crew and the opening bands on stage. Amazing set from start to finish!

Shots from Rex Orange County playing a sold out show on a perfect summer night at the incomparable StageAE outdoors!

Spill Tab played an outstanding set at The Agora in Cleveland, Ohio on Saturday June 4th. Singer/Songwriter Claire Chicha was filled with energy as she took the stage after recovering from a sickness. Her set was both relaxing and exciting, for her connection with the crowd was strong.

nothing, nowhere. brought out my inner emo in the best ways possible from his and his band’s energy on stage, to playing some of his older music like “Letdown” and “Clarity in Kerosene”. After being out on the road for 5 weeks the energy was still on point. The 70-minute set went by way too fast! I recommend anyone who enjoys Alternative/Emo Rap to check out his music and catch his next tour.

As always, AJR performed a stunning, high energy show complete with fun banter and a serious conversation about mental health. Comprised of three brothers (Adam, Jack, and Ryan Met), AJR prides itself in using unique and experimental sounds when producing their music. 15 minutes prior to the show a big “DO NOT PUSH” button showed up on the back screen with no explanation or mention.

One of the most impressive parts of the show was the band’s use of their background and side graphics. Rather than just having videos playing as the band performed, the three brothers interacted with the visuals. For example, at one point, Ryan and Adam ran back and forth in front of the backdrop pretending to bounce a ball off drums that they were carrying. Additionally, the brothers bantered back and forth and accepted a pink flamingo hat from the audience for Ryan to wear (a reference to their Bummerland music video).

In the middle of the show, there was an interlude where their trumpet player, Arnetta Johnson, played lines from various songs in the AJR discography which they did not have time to play. Towards the end of the show, Ryan walked the audience through how they produced Weak, complete with a reversed high-hat sound and a crying baby inspired melody.

At the end of the show, Jack came back to the “DO NOT PUSH” button. He explained that he was diagnosed with OCD and for him, OCD manifests itself in fixations such as a desire to push the button lasting for the entire show. Then, he brought out a physical version of the “DO NOT PUSH” button and it was handed to an audience member with Jack explaining that instead of pushing the button himself, he would ask for help.

Altogether, between good music, impressive visuals, and fun vibes this high quality production is definitely worth seeing.

Rather than have a typical birthday celebration, Jeremy Caywood put on a concert with some of his favorite artists including Mirabelle Skipworth and The Brink Of, Standard Broadcast, Julia Norah, and Keith Kenny.

On May 3rd, 2022, The Regrettes played a high energy show at the Lincoln Theater in Washington D.C. for their Further Joy Tour! Close to the famous 9:30 Club, this venue is a large seated theater, and it was filled up for this show. While the band was not expecting seats at this venue, the lead singer Lydia Night brought up the crowd’s energy very quickly. Most of their concerts usually allow for a mosh pit and lots of jumping, so this was a challenge that the band needed to overcome. Lydia wanted to ensure that our experience was just as exciting as each of their other shows.
Consisting of five band members, Lydia Night (lead vocals/guitar), Drew Thomson (drums), Genessa Gariano (guitar), and Brooke Dickson (bass), The Regrettes took the stage with a confidence that proved their preparedness and excitement for their performance. Each band member showed their passion for music throughout the entirety of the show, which was very admirable, as touring can be a stressful journey. They showed their audience how much fun they were having, making the crowd go wild!
During the song Barely On My Mind, from their newest album Further Joy, Lydia made her way into the crowd to interact with the fans. She jumped and sang with us, making a special moment for many. She came up to myself and my friend Madalyn, and we had a blast getting to dance with her. This was a great way to connect with the crowd and enhance their experience.
If you ever get the chance, go see The Regrettes perform live. They put on a show that is memorable, amusing, and welcoming. In addition to this, they convey important messages to young women about positive body image, women’s rights, and standing up for yourself. Not only will they play great music, they will inspire you in so many ways!
